MR1: Based upon review of your FCC Form 471 application, we were not able to validate your requested rural classification for Gates-Chili High School. The urban/rural classification is determined by the Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) data from the US Census. The county of Monroe is urban according to Table Of Rural Areas By State. USAC only uses Table Of Rural Areas By State in the SLD web site at http://www.universalservice.org/sl/applicants/step04/urban-rural.aspx to determine Rural/Urban classification. The requested discount will be modified to reflect an urban classification. The discount for Gates-Chili High School will be modified from 70% to 60%. As a result of this action, the shared discount was decreased from 66% to 62%.
